Wow. Say that to the rest of the team. In fact, Satan has been playing pretty well.

AS far as Satan goes this is what u get from him. He was never ever a defensive type player nor was he ever good at grinding along the boards. He's a good shot and good finisher. If he was all that PLUS an awesome 2 way player than his salary would be 6+ million and not 3+ million.

I'm not defending them, but I seemed to see 18 other players take the evening off after getting the 3 goal lead. Even the lovable Sid is struggling out of the gate so far. Maybe these guys need some time to gel.

He's not doing a bad job at finishing, he's just not that good at stick handling the puck.

Might be that as a unit, they're utterly disjointed. He and Sid have made maybe a small handful of meaningful passes (on the rush, any zone, bringing pressure). As Sabres_Fan points out, Satan's game isn't along the boards or as a defensive converter. Ok, that's fine.

I just don't see him around or creating any action, plus, like Staal so far, a sneeze knocks him off the puck. Soff floaters I do not want with Sid.

On this team, he WILL learn how (or he won't last very long), but it will not happen over night.

I think that Toronto just might be the cure that this team needs.

Agreed. But I'm not making pronouncements about the entire season, I'm commenting on what's gone on tonight. I'd also add Staal to the individual crap heap, and the collective limpness of the first two lines to the team crap heap.

Yes, yes it is. But it is very entertaining though.

Sometimes I wonder if people post some of the things just to get a rise out of others, or if they truly believe it. If it is the latter, they may have some issues.

Satan was good tonight. He was rewarded with a goal. Fedotenko played a great defensive game, hit and kept some pucks in the zone. And they both hustled tonight.

He's not a good winger. He shouldn't be on a top scoring line either.

It's hilarious. I'm just finishing up reading through the game thread and I'm pretty sure quite a few posters keep razor blades on hand for watching Pens games.

I was trying to fit in by overreacting over the slow start this season. I don't actually feel that way. They just need to toughen up a bit and get some momentum or rythem going their way. And crosby needs to get over th 100 goal barrier.

seriously, are we this spoiled to expect perfection every night? we played against a team that played the entire stretch run together and had an entire camp. i was worried about this game, just because the caps have been putting heaps of goals in the net. semin is on fire right now. this isn't football. that game wasn't 1/16th of a season. it was only 1/82nd. this happens to every team throughout the year. if it were later in the year, then yes, that would be a huge problem. they will learn, they will get better, they will dominate again. on a positive note, the powerplay looked mucho better tonight

He's starting to get better, besides the turnover that led to the 1st craps goal, although letang was very weak in front of the net on that goal.

Yeah being impartial the board here is sooooooooooooooooooo boring after a win but I love it here after a loss, but its that way on all teams boards. Fans are fans no matter where u live.
