Who Was At The Pens-Caps Game?

Postby doublewinder on Sat Oct 18, 2008 3:32 pm

1) Where there a lot of Caps fans there?
-How many, what percent would you say?

2) Was this the normal amount?
-If not, what is?
-Did it increase from prior years?

Thanks!

I saw a couple Caps fans there not too many though. A Caps fan a couple rows behind me got thrown out of the building during the intermission. But overall, I didn't notice many Caps fans at all.

I saw a few, maybe 10-20. Not much, but more than there used to be.

That guy was antagonizing everyone from the moment he walked down the steps. I hope our fans behave with more class in D.C

Wow, it's impressive that they ALL made the trip. 66 should block DC area codes from being able to purchase tickets, maybe raise the price for Caps games to keep the crowd pro-Pens

I noticed the guy getting thrown out during the intermission and throwing his arms up at everyone as the cop escorted him. How stupid, because people actually care about him and his allegiance to the Capitals.

Do you actually think Ted's plan is going to lower by a large amount the Pens fans in DC?

I think it will. I haven't been able to scrounge up my normal five tickets. We'll see though.

- Do you think doublewinder will make a lot of these types of posts this season.
- If so, how many?

- How many people will read them and be annoyed?
- How many will read them and actually answer the questions?

Probably, but I can tell you one Pens fan who'll be at both games. BTW I truly don't own stock in StubHub, but for those still in the market for tickets to the DC games, there are plenty available through that site. Some of them are reasonably priced.

I think a factor that also may hurt attendance is the fact the games are only two weeks apart (late February, early March). Last year was nearly ideal, with a Saturday night game in October and a late-season afternoon game on a Sunday.
