No. The 2nd goal was a gimme. The 1st is the type that we see Sid score a lot on on the PP. That's where you're supposed to be. And the third? That was a great finish. He's where he's supposed to be, and shows nice hands to shoot the puck one-touch from the slot. How can knock him for scoring goals he's supposed to score? Isn't that want you want?[/quote]

I agree Satan is like Sykora, in that they are both streaky scorers who will both put up decent numbers by the end of the year, like they have done consistently..

Satan on the 3rd line is a waste though...

I think Satan will come around. He's been OK so far, but not quite clicking with Sid.

Staal and Fedo currently reside at the top of my **** list. They are doing nothing that I can see.

Satan would be horrible on the 4th line. How about just leaving him for PP duty and nothing more? I know it's a silly idea to dress a guy for just the PP, but our 4th line guys average what 4 minutes a game, so it's no worse than them being part of the 20 to dress.

What is wrong with people. He's looked fine at even strength. Not amazing, but certainly better than a lot of the team at some stages.

He gets ragged a lot for his tap-ins and the like, but he's done things like that his entire career. He's good at finding the open ice and always knows where to be-it's how he scores goals. Shero knew he wasn't an aggressive player or a fore/back checker, that's probably part of the reason he only got a one year deal. Next year there will be better wingers available, but in the meantime getting a guy who is known to be good at finding the right spots to work with a pin-point passer who can get the puck to whatever place his wingers happen to be in is as good an option as there was available. Yes, he doesn't create, he doesn't play well defensively, but frankly anyone who expected that had some pretty lofty expectations given his track record.

He'll score 30-35 goals.
Sheesh, it's only been 6 games (and he has 3 goals already).

Now let's get back to worrying about Staal. Wait a second, I think there's already a thread for that.

Miroslav Satan: 4 G, 2 A = 6 Pts.
Marian Hossa: 1G, 4 A = 5 Pts.

That is all.

@ $3.5M, no.......I would maybe go for $ $3M, but Pesonen might be an even better deal, if he hopefully adjusts to NA style hockey soon.........Pez is as good scorer as Miro is, plus he's wicked fast.....

Please note that I said he's be a horrible 4th liner. I didn't say a horrible top 6 forward. It was a response to the comment about him playing on that line. The rest of my comment was probably not real clear, but if he isn't on a top two line then why not just use him as a PP specialist. The reason I wouldn't want him on a 3rd or 4th line is because he doesn't do the little things that those guys are expected to do. I have no problem with his goal output so far, who could be? But he doesn't have the well rounded game to play anywhere but a 1st or 2nd line. Wow, that was wordy.

Actually, add that Tampa is paying Malone 6 mil + and he only has 1 point. Imagine the hate that is going on there if Satan is being questioned.

Didn't think of that. No good having a winger that takes runs at his own center. Geno steal his girlfriend over in Russia or something?

wow, i thought all the pesonen love was over for a little

saying that pesonen is as good a scorer as satan is is a very ignorant statement.. please remind me the last time that pesonen had a 25 goal season? please remind me why he never made it with the ducks? have you ever seen the man play other than in the highlight videos on youtube?

If you've followed my previous posts on Miro, I had nothing but prase for him and his abilities. Unfortunatly, he's on downward spiral, as he'll be 34 tomorrow, and Pez is 26 and statistically speaking, only going upward. I do not know why Duck passed on him, but I know that he scored 34 goals last season, and 22 in one before...........also keep in mind that SM-liiga season is 56 games.........
