Big test for Sabu against a top quality team in San Jose. Hopefully he plays like he did in Boston...

Hal Gill ~ hand injury, will not play. Should be a fun game to watch for the east coast night owls.

Sharks; are they labeled underachievers in San Jose? Strong regular season teams, that don't go far
in the play-offs. They kick the penguins arses most times though, especially in SJ.

They blamed Ron Wilson.

i don't like the fact that sabu is playing. nothing against him.

fleury does not need a rest every 3 games. he is becoming a stud as a goaltender and there is no reaso to have sabourin play in his place. if anything, fleury needs to be continually playing to get into his rhythym.

i don't think this is a good move by MT.

also,

ever since ron wilson left this team has opened it up big time and are very exciting to watch. last year they won games 2-1 and the game at mellon arena was the most boring penguins game i've ever seen.

but having watched them a few times and as evidence of their 7-6 win over philly some time back, i think this game will be fun to watch.

Fleury may not need the rest, but we need the backup sharp, too.

I would have preferred a more modest opponent, but Sabu does need some work to keep in game shape

This. If Fluery would go down for the year, or out for a long period of time last year, you have to get your backup some playing time.

If this trend continues, Fluer will be playing 80% of the games, which is fine with me. I'm sure he'll play even more at the end of the season to.

I don't mind this decision. It is against a Western Conference foe.

He's not. He has played in 2 out of 10 games.

Bring your 'A' game Sabu.

EDIT: In the notes, it says both Malkin and Talbot left practice early yesterday. I know Therrien said they're not injured, but I can't help but think they may both be a bit banged up. Hopefully it was nothing.

I'd rather have seen our elite goaltender take on an elite team, but if Sabu plays like he did in Boston we'll be fine.
