Fedotenko's been looking pretty good

Postby Noise on Wed Oct 29, 2008 1:13 am

He's been the best winger for the Pens the last few games. He looked very good when MT decided to put him with Crosby and Malkin. And he looks good with Staal too.

If he can stop getting caught in bad places for penalties, he'll be fine.

I think it's time to stop the Crosby-Malkin stint. Fedotenko should be on one of the top two lines when that happens.

Fed-Cros-Sat?

I swear I read that at fist as Fedotanko-Crosby-Saturday.

Wow I took about 10 seconds to figure it out even after reading your post. His abreviation should be 666. Even easier than Sat.

Rember when that line sucked like, a week ago?

But hey, some things just don't click at first.

Only think I know is that Sykie and Satan need to be top-6 mainstays.

In other news, whatever.

I wouldn't be against separating Malkin and Crosby again. I was for putting them together, and I won't be upset if they stay together for a bit longer, but I think it may be time to put them on different lines again and see if we can't get more than one line rolling.

I remember when it was given 3 and a half games to start working out.

Exactly. It's been a juggle-o-rama since the season started, but I guess that's to be expected with a short camp and so many new faces.

He's lying. He did, but it caused the camera to short-circuit and self-destruct.

If he did, he's probably just keeping it all to himself.

I went to the Pens game at MSG on Saturday, and he tossed me a puck during warmup. Quickly becoming a big fan of his. :D

I like Fedotenko. He's settling in nicely. I wanted them to sign him the last two summers.

I'm with you. He is what he is: a 40-45 point producer with a bit of physicality. He's no Malone, but anyone expecting him to be is not being realistic.

QFT...He is a solid 3rd line player...possibly 2nd line to add a physical presence. He is not an adequate Malone replacement...

Yeah, he's scoring way too often in a non-contract year to be a Malone replacement :)

He really is Malone, just a little smaller and with a better shot from a distance.
