Cookie Monster has played on Vancouver's top line in brief stints, so I think it would work and work well... for a little. Skill on the right and grit on the left. As for Crosby's line.... terrible. Dupuis and Fedo? Are they forcing Sid to shoot?!

Good. Putting Sid and Geno on the same line to spark something is ok. But I'm glad it is not long term.

I like, but it might be time to give Satan a second crack at Crosby's line. He looks a little better and he is leading the team in goals.

This, as soon as they did it I said it made sense for a few game, I'm sure many others said/felt the same thing.

Switch Staal and Crosby, and I like. As is, it looks like punishment for Sid.

Yeah, Crosby/Fedotenko/Dupuis does not spell Art Ross for Sid...

Or a challenge~

Until Jordan scores a goal, they can't have him at wing. At center Jordan has been playing better.
Evgeni as center needs extra face-off sessions. 8-)

Evgeni and Sid are on again/off again more than any couple I know. :P

i actually think this is a good thing, Malkin and Crosby, it is the only wya to give us a more balanced attack
Sykora needs to play with Malkin to be effective and hopefully Cooke will provide the grit the line needs, if not, we might see talbot get a shot at playing wing on malkin's or crosby line when he comes back.
I also think with our close to seeing our first call up, not sure who it might be, maybe minard or Penson, who knows, but i really think they might bring someone up to really try and shake things up.
I would actually like to see staal-kennedy and crosby all on the same line, i think it might take a little bit for that line to build chemistry, but i really think it could be something,

This just shows how Staal doesn't belong on this team. As a result of his inability to play wing, he is forcing us to put our number one center with Tank and Dupuis -- oh and we still don't have a checking shutdown d line like his apologists point out. I'm not hating on Staal, I'm hating on Staal's fit on this team. He shouldn't be on the same team as Sid and Malkin, there are equivalent talented players that would bring a lot more value to this team.

I sadly agree. I'm a noted Staal basher, but looking at this completely objectively, it's not a good fit. At this point in his career, he could still be dealt for a great young winger and I really think that's the way to go. A decent 3rd line center is not too hard to find. And "elite" 3rd line center (which most people call Staal, but I find the whole concept of an elite 3rd line anything a little strange) is not as valuable as a goal scoring winger to a team with 2 elite centers.

Unless Crosby insists on passing to Dupius and Fedo. He's going to have to shoot to score (yogi berra much?).

Wayne is making coyote changes too. Reading this says to me, appreciate & be glad for the penguin line-up.
Talk a walk on the other side just to see how lucky *we* are.

I hope Carcillo doesn't do anything stupid tomorrow night.

I'm sure Biznasty will have plenty of what ever Carcillo is looking for tomorrow. Should be a great fight.

Bissonnette vs. Carcillo should be a lock.

They're good friends outside the rink, so it will be fun to watch them go at it.

This is the right move. Putting them together served its purpose, but its effectiveness has run its course. The problem with putting them together is that when you shut that line down, you shut down all the offense. Guys like Sykora need a Malkin to be effective.

Satan will eventually get his chance with Crosby but he's clearly getting the Therrien treatment. He needs to prove he can play the system and play hard in all areas. I noticed one play in particular last night that Therrien couldn't have been happy with where Satan backed off in the corner in the defensive zone and pretty much let the Sharks player have the puck and go towards the net. That's not going to cut it. Dupuis is in over his head as a scoring winger for the most part, but he's always in position and he always plays hard. That's why he gets rewarded with playing time.

Staal on the third line also is the right move, and he probably should stay there unless he really picks up his productivity. With no goals in ten games, it's pretty clear that he's not going to have the big bounce back we were hoping for. It's best to put him back in a role where he's proven he can be effective and also take some pressure off him to put up a ton of points.

Eventually, I expect Satan to get back on the top line and Cooke to move back down. I like this shake-up.

Oh, I thought I heard that Talbot was not expected tomorrow? Well if Biz is still in the lineup, him and Carcillo will have a go of it. If not, Carcillo is going to be running wild. I don't really know who matches up with him besides Biz? TK would get destroyed and I don't know who else we have...

I did notice that Biz was only on the ice for a few shifts last night. Seems like both coaches wanted nothing to do with their 4th lines last night.

Why did Sid get demoted to the second line?

Also, I wish Geno was better at faceoffs.
