Penguins Pumpkins.

Postby wallflower on Thu Oct 30, 2008 12:31 pm

I was just curious if anyone else is carving a Penguins-related pumpkin this Halloween. In the past I know there have been a few others (besides me) who have.

I haven't actually started carving mine yet - it's open and I dug out it's guts - but I'm not particularly enamored with my sketch so far. (I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I think the triangle might be a bit wonky, throwing everything else off.)

Anyhow. I'll post a picture when I'm done and encourage anyone else who is doing one to do the same.

:D

Once my camera battery re-charges, I'll have to take a better picture with more detail. I love how his eye turned out - normally I have trouble getting it just right but it turned out perfectly this time.

I'm bumping this because I think it's a happy, pretty thread. If it had sparkles it would be perfect.

Very nice work wondermoose! I thought about putting text or numbers on mine but in the end decided to go plain. (My dad suggested adding: "she wants to sell my monkey!" )

Personally I like the logo by itself. Its a lot more clean looking than having the writing around it.

I generally like clean design but I considered it because I've carved just the skating penguin the last couple of years in a row. Thought maybe about changing it up a little but, in the end, I'm super happy with how it turned out. Definitely my best yet. (I only have my '06 pumpkin on this computer but trust me when I say last year's looked very similiar. )
