Postby newarenanow on Thu Oct 30, 2008 1:34 pm

Who here can stay up for the the whole West Coast games? I can't. I suck.

I'm usually asleep by the 2nd period.

Most of the time I do, the past game I went to sleep about halfway through the 3rd though, it just wasn't worth staying up to watch.

I was up early today for a job interview so hopefully I can make it the whole way tonight... the booze will help pull me through

From my younger days~ loved mike lange's "night owl club". The games from Vancouver & Calgary seemed like the other side of the world. :)

regrettably to admit, I found a trick.... fell asleep during the pregame show, Goddard fight woke me up in the 1st and was wide awake for the rest of the game.

If I didn't have an infant getting up all times of the night then I would be there...But I bailed out mid first against the Sharks...

Night owls rule.
Sometimes, like when I end up waking up in the middle of the night/very early morning around 4 a.m. -- which I did during the SJ game. But that game left me grumpy and wanting my sleep back.

I used to in college and even after all the time. Until about 2 years ago, after I got married, I just can't do it anymore.

Living on the West Coast, I'm just stoked to be able to watch a Pens game live at 7:00 rather than having to tivo it at 4 and watch after work.

I actually miss watching 10:00pm hockey and football...

12:30am is about my limit, can stretch it to 1am maybe if its a good game. Last game was pointless to watch.

Well, the game at San Jose started at 3:30am German time and only because we're already on daylight saving time, otherwise it would have been 4:30. So no, I may be a zombie, but I recorded the game and watched it later. Last season I stood up for the game at Vancouver, which ended at about 7am. Ugh.

I did not go to sleep during that epic playoff games against Philly back in 2000 (?). It ended, if I remember correctly at around 9am.

Both. If I want to stay up, I have to leave the bedroom and go watch the game. :(

I'm typically up until 12:30 or 1:00 most nights anyway, so these are no problem.....other than the fact that they laid an egg the other night in SJ which almost set me to sleep...but that's another issue altogether.

I'm in college, but usually don't stay up until 1am (I like my sleep), so I went to bed after the 2nd on Tuesday because I had 8:30 class....and ended up sleeping through my class because I forgot to set my alarm, haha. But, I don't have class tomorrow so I'm definitely staying up to watch tonight's.

Hurts the next day at work, but I won't miss them. Wish I could go back and sleep through the first 2.5 periods the other night though (like the Pens did).

Usually I'm up for the first 2 periods. If it's a close game either way (2 goals or less), then I'll ride it out and be miserable at work the next day. If it's a blowout, I'm in bed.

With that being said, I was barely awake for the SHG on Tuesday. :)

I've always been able to stay up regardless. I think I got around 3 hours of sleep last night and i'll be ok. I'll probably die upon laying down to sleep though.
