No problem when I was in college. I still stay up now though...it just hurts more at work - try to catch a nap before the game or the next day when I get home from work. If the game is pretty much decided, I might go to bed. For the SJ game - I started going for bed after the 2nd goal...but left the TV on so I saw us score...then I had to watch the whole thing.

Ditto. Since I graduated, got a job, and a wife, the night owl tendencies have been fading...

I am currently on evening baby duty -- which lasts until 12:30 or so. Tonight's game should work out a little better than San Jose, for many reasons. ;)

I gladly forgo the couple extra hours of sleep I get by staying up for the games. I'm usually up until at least 12:00, anyway. I love to sleep, but I don't really need a ton of it. The 6:30 wake-up call yesterday morning wasn't bad, and since tomorrow's Friday and I get to dress down, it's even better. That's an extra 15 minutes to sleep in. :D

I live for these late night games. I love them. It's always nice watching Western Conference teams, since we don't get to see them enough during the season.

The best part is the entire family is in bed so nobody bugs me during the game.

I personally like west coast starting times better, mostly because I'm a night owl. I hate morning people, yet I have to follow their rules of getting up early! As long as I get four hours, I'll live -- albeit, not as long as most people, but I'll live.

That was a great game. Detroit, even though they lost, looks so damn good. Both the Ducks and Wings power plays are amazing to watch.

I work mon-fri 10am-6:30pm so it's not a problem for me. Even if I worked earlier I don't need much sleep. 4-5hrs and I'm good.

I usually do not, but I will tonight. Next day wake-up time has plenty to do with it. Wed it was 4 AM.

I generally will unless I know the next day at work is going to be busy and I need to not be sitting in my office reading LGP the day after the game, half-asleep :D. Now, if the game is very dull or one-sided, I might turn it off after the 2nd period. I'd like a nice 5-0 lead by the Pens after 2 tonight.

It depends on whether or not I can slip into "operation shutdown" at work the next day. If I can afford to do that, I'll usually stay up for 2 periods. Tonight will hopefully be one of those nights... if I can make it. Just had my first kid, so that's changing things a tad.

I'm usually up til 2 or 3, so no big deal for a hockey game. Just makes the night less boring.

well i usually can stay up, but honestly these past two games I was asleep at the first intermission. I do TIVO the games and finish them in the morning, but with the last game I read the game thread on here before wasting my time, which I was glad! I have a tendancy to have bad days when the pens play like crap......Losing I can handle but playing with no care only getting 11 shots leads to me not being a good mood all day.
