That, on the other hand, does not look fun.

It needs to be over a highway or something that resembles imminent death.

While I am hardly jumping off any bridges, I must admit I am enjoying watching them this season far less than last year. I do not know exactly what it is, but I am not drawn to every game like I have been in years past. Probably just a chemistry thing while the team gets its bearings, but I am downright bored and disgusted by watching them sometimes this year.

Good point. The stretch run and playoffs were so exciting that these early season games aren't as captivating. Still, I've watched most of them. I'm a pessimist by nature, so I think that every Pens offensive rush will end in a turnover or unrecoverable dump in...and I've been right far more than I wanted to be.

Well, it wasn't much fun to watch them at the *beginning* of last season, and the season before, either.

I agree with Antonio. For the most part these games have been horrible to watch this year, because the team does not score goals and generate offense....disturbing...

I'm confused. When we were 5-2-1 everyone seemed happy about the Pens play, but after a VERY short losing streak all the sudden we've totally sucked all year? I mean I understand concern from last nights game, we played like crap. So what? IMO, the NHL season is a marathon, not a sprint. Did everyone here imagine the Pens would come out this year and be a Detroit like team? 1/3 our team have only played together for a few months. I'm not saying the Pens don't have some issues, but where does all this panic come from?

I'm not panicked. I am just talking about an enjoyment of watching the game...There really is none at the moment because they are playing a very boring brand of hockey..

The only offense they generate is on the power play...

At no point so far this season have the Pens "dominated" an opponent. Certainly not for more than perhaps 1 period at a time. If it were not for bad luck, they would have no luck at all. They seem to really be making a lot of simple mistakes, compounded by bad decisions. We all know that the skill is there. We've seen it and seen it work as little as 5 months ago.

I really believe that there are many factors at work to make them play the way that they have.
New blood, key injuries, bad luck, bad decisions, confindence lacking, etc etc.

You fix the simple things first, and do from shift to shift. Its start with one shift, then one period and finally one game. You build from there.
