ST. LOUIS -- Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will be in the lineup tonight against the St. Louis Blues.
Crosby on Thursday left during the third period of a 4-1 loss at Phoenix with what was believed to be a hip problem. The team was off yesterday, but Crosby participated in the morning skate today at Scottrade Center and confirmed afterward that he will play.
Winger Ruslan Fedotenko, however, left the morning skate after about 10 minutes and will sit out tonight's game with an undisclosed injury.
Also out is winger Pascal Dupuis, who missed Thursday's game after being hit with a shot in practice. He was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Wednesday, meaning he could be activated before the Penguins' home game Thursday against Edmonton.
Finnish winger Janne Pesonon was promoted from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and will be in the lineup against the Blues. He began the season with the Baby Penguins and was third on the team with nine points, including two goals.
In another lineup change, defenseman Darryl Sydor will play while Mark Eaton will be a healthy scratch.
