I hope Gonchar and Whitney are named starters, just to show the idiocy of having them on the ballot to begin with.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter who from the Pens are on there; everyone from the Habs is gonna get voted in since the game is in Mtl.

Let's hope. I'm not fond of fan balloting. I'd let the coaches decide instead. I know there will still be favortisim but didn't Rory Fitzpatrick make it one year just because some fans started a campaign for him?

He was going to get in and was within the top 2 but they took away his votes.

They could've at least given us a little credit and falsified the voting.

If I remember correctly, they didn't get rid of all his votes, just the ones they couldn't confirm as being logged by actual users, not a program/bot/whatever.

To be honest, I've never felt like it was that much of a big deal who the starters were. They play together for 40 seconds and then the coach puts out the lines that he wants out there anyway.

I'm hoping this is MAF's year. He's always going to be the victim of "have to take one player from a team" (and who on the Islanders is worth a trip other than DiPietro?) and the fact that the Pens have 2 locks and several other possibilities every year.

o well with Marty B out it gives MAF a chance Sid is a lock

i totally agree with you on that mark. Gonchar has been a worth candidate for the all-star game the past few years and has only made it a number of times. I see MAF. Malkin. and Sid all making the game.
