Technically, I don't think Goebel is Pens property so this is slightly inaccurate. Nick Johnson's off to a big start for Wheeling, though, isn't he?

For that matter, I think Taffe is third in the AHL in scoring. Pretty nice to have those two guys as depth when injuries inevitably occur.

Here is the press release for Goebel.

http://o8o9.wbspenguins.com/news/Releas ... oebell.asp

Looks like he is Penguins property.

The Nailers top 5 scorers are

Goebel
Aaron Clarke-4th in ECHL
Rob Sirianni-5th in ECHL
Nick Johnson-8th in ECHL
Jordan Morrison-19th in ECHL

That press release says the WBS Pens signed him. So by that, he's Baby Pens property but any NHL team can sign him, so the big Pens technically have no rights to him. Thanks for that though because I was trying to find out what kind of contract he had.

Wow Minard, 11 goals in only 9 games. I see why he was brought up before Pesonen was.

He had a hat trick the day he was sent down. He was at a modest goal a game pace before that.

It's too bad that Minard isn't a prospect...If the leading scorer was Caputi, then we would be on to something

Pretty impressive nonetheless. I'm surprised how well Minard and Taffe are doing in WBS this year.

Minard had a chance last year and didn't impress. He played a couple games in a scoring role but also did nothing exceptional.

He'll be the first call up in case of injury but when everyone is healthy he has no spot.
