Imagine if Hemsky tried that move on Tommy Barrasso

Postby ron_duguays_hair on Thu Nov 06, 2008 10:54 pm

Barrasso would have totally stacked those pads. Then he would have had no comment after the game.

HEMSKY = Goal of the year

I kinda think it was a lucky goal myself. Pretty much everything little thing had to go just right in a split second.

I don't think it was lucky, I think it was pure talent by Hemsky.

Just my opinion.

Hemsky is my favorite player in the NHL outside the Pens organization. I would be so pumped if we acquired Hemsky. My god.

Great skill goal by Hemsky. Should have been saved...Cooke handcuffed Scuderi with the back pass into the zone...You can't spring that stuff on Scuderi!

Hemsky would be useless on the Pens. He is a playmaker. We got two of the best in Malkin and Crosby.

Hmmmm... let me rethink this. Malkin Crosby Talbot ..... Sykora Hemsky Satan ....... hmmm........

Selke Staal for Hemsky!!!!!! Sorry couldn't resist!

He got a lot of help from MAF standing frozen on the play, but I don't think the "move" was luck either. It's very similar to a move Forsberg used with a lot of success in shootouts and breakaways.

Hemsky would still be getting treatment on the welts across his legs from Barrasso's slash. And then Barrasso would continue plotting to kill Bob Smizik and Ron Cook.

tread lightly. you don't want to be labeled a 'fanboy' for liking a single player on a team that isn't the penguins. you'll hear such gems as "the love for /player a/ on this board is sickening" etc.

I wasnt impressed by that goal at all. Fleury's inaction was incredulous.
He literally did nothing except leave open half of the net.
If Hemsky didnt tuck it past him he would have scored on a wrap around even easier.

Fleury brain for some reason ices up when he doesn't face enough shots. He's gotta get better at keeping focus.

yeah, really questionable decision by cooke, followed by a puzzling lack of reaction by fleury. very off period for fleury. i would have liked to see him rush souray on the 4th goal either by giving him a poke check, or stacking his pads into his skates and introducing his chin to mr. crossbar. souray had the puck far enough out in front of him where fleury could've done that. it would have been better than sitting on the goal line and letting him pick his spot.
