I think Therrien rewards players who play hard, play disciplined, practice hard, and stay true to the system. I think that's universally the reason why certain guys get opportunities and other guys don't. Of course, most people look at it as Therrien arbitrarily playing favorites but I choose to think that a successful NHL coach isn't that petty.
I think Dupuis is in over his head as a top sixer but things will shake out properly if that continues. Fedotenko was looking good for several games before he was knocked out of the lineup. I'd like to see him play with Malkin and Sykora.
