Okay. I'm going to indulge in one of my favorite activities ...gloating. Though the old adage, concerning whether or not a falling tree in the forest makes a sound with no one around, comes to mind ...I still told you so.
I don't post on here often. In fact, this is only my 3rd post I believe. The 1st was a response to the worst game I ever attended. The 2nd was mistakenly moved into the non-hockey related boards because of the clever title I gave it. But that post referred to Jordan Staal, and the irrational panic that surrounded the mere mention of his name on these boards. But that's not enough to warrant gloating ...but this is:http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/the%20HockeyGod
my lone TSN blog entry.
As said by Howlin' Pelle Almqvist, " hate to say I told you so. I do believe I told you so !"
Yeah, you are a genius. If Staal played like last night even 25% of the time, there would be no discussion. The discussions come from his pending RFA status, his precipitous drop in production last year, his career of never having scored more before or after that rookie NHL year and the cap situation in Pittsburgh. He also has a LOT of games where he looks like Baby Huey out there instead of Gronk.
These are little details that you neglect to point out, which are easy to ignore after he had his annual monster game. Put a few more of these games together this month and nobody will be asking what's wrong with him again.
In the meantime, welcome to the board, but don't only post here when you're feeling smart.
