IN the PG today it said that Dany Sabourin's mask for the alternate is modeled after Dunc Wilson's...
Sabourin said he saw a photo and liked it. D Wilson had a few colorful masks with other team's, but
I could not locate the penguin one.
wore this one with vancouver:

What confuses you?

He's wearing the new mask that was designed early last season for the winter classic but since he was injured, he never wore it... Instead of spending extra money to buy a newly painted theme mask... He's el cheapo and gonna wear that mask that was obviously designed to match his Bright Yellow pads. :D

It still looks pimp though.

I'm confused as to why it is orange. They can say it's "yellow" all they want, but in those photos, that thing is bright orange.

In those pictures, it looks orange. But on tv, it was definitely gold-yellow.

I want so bad to be down on the alternates, but I just can't hate them. They look great.

Fleury's mask looked orange-gold in person.

I wouldn't want to see the thirds all the time but I think they looked pretty spiffy.

The logo side is nice. The other side is terrible.

Good article from the trib about the uniforms and what the color blue means.
Quotes from Jack Riley and list of pens players naming their favorite uniforms.

Stop scaring me Sidney with references to Montreal.

I honestly don't know what to make of it. I kind of like it, but it's also kind of..... odd. I keep looking at it and seeing a lopsided snail, or a St. Louis Ram missing a horn.

Im not sure I like the quotes from that article. Sounds like the possibility of having the baby blue as the main jersey is greater than I thought. Sure they said they havent considered switching yet, but I think the buzz over the new jerseys and all the popularity might give them the idea that Pens fans would like the change.

I for one like the blue unis as a 3rd jersey, but that's all. Id hate for them to use them full time. Jack Riley doesnt seem to agree with me though.

I like the throwback baby blues, but definitely not as the primary jersey. If anything, I'd love to see them drop the vegas gold for the tradition yellow gold.

One of the things I always liked about Pittsburgh is the fact that your teams all have the same colors. I like the baby blues as an alternate but they need to stick with the black and gold.

Pittsburgh is the only pro sports city in the nation that has three or more teams wearing the same color scheme

That's pretty awesome.

I love the baby blues and will probably get a Crosby jersey at some point -- (after I get paid, Christmas present to myself -- WOOOOOOOOOOO) but if they had the blue as the primary it would become too "everyday" and not have that special occasion quality that it does now.

I've noticed the fan vote on the Pens site indicates that most fans feel the same way -- have them as an alternate, but don't have it as a main jersey and use it all the time.

Also I'm pretty sure that Pittsburgh is the only pro sports city in the nation who's pro teams all shared the same name somewhere in their history -- each team was named the Pirates at one time. Now we wouldn't want to associate all three teams with the horrible baseball ownership/management would we?

I don't mind the light blue, I guess, but I wish they would have went with something a bit more original for this season. I would have been pleased if they just busted out the baby blues for the winter classic game and that was it. It didn't seem right playing indoors with those on.

My favorite jerseys of all time are the Pens from the Cup era but unless they're going to bring those back to wear full time I'd rather see the baby blues as opposed to the black, tan/olive/vegas gold, and white design they're wearing now.
