Flyers at Pens, a 5-4 shootout win

Something good: Crosby goals. Nice to see him bury two with the straight blade that seemingly everyone else but him had given up on. You know, the same pattern he's used to win a scoring title and a MVP award? He also seemed to have a little more jump as evidenced late in the third when he exploded past a Flyer defenseman for an uncontested shot. Maybe that's a sign that his hip is feeling better. If so, good news for the Pens.

Where they need improvement: Holding leads. This is beginning to get old, is it not? Give them credit though. At least this game, they found a new way to do it, surrendering two shorthanded goals. Philly's other two goals were off weird bounces, but the bottom line is they need to get better at playing with leads.

Something good: Stick-to-it-tive-ness. After blowing yet another multiple goal lead and then actually falling behind, it would have been very easy for this team to hang their heads and go through the motions, especially with those momentum-sucking shorties. While they deserve criticism for blowing the leads, they deserve credit for continuing to battle and pulling out a win.

Good: Sid and Geno going upstairs for goals. Shoot high, boys, shoot high. More please.

Bad: Hey, Philly fans: Rule 190-b states that's it's ok to stop wearing the mullet. Good grief, every Flyer fan I saw - man, woman, beast, whatev - had one. Please, stop. We're living in a society, heeeeah. Oh yeah, and Eaton was horrible.

Good: Gogo atoning for bad decisions during regulation.

good: hartnell's wild journey in the shoot out

bad: the power play. not just because of the SH goals, but we also couldn't set much up. and when we did, we'd get pressured and turn it over

good: aren't we something like 9-2 against the flyers in the last 11 games (and like 17-6 over the last 23)?
