He looked like he made an awkward stretch late in the 3rd.

Uncertain for Tuesday night

just when you think the team is healthy and whole.
Dany Sabourin has been doing well, better than well. No reason for a panic if Flower has the flu or an otherwise minor affliction.

Could it be a tweaked groin sustained on the big Derek Roy save? I remember wincing when I saw him do the splits on that one and feeling relieved when he got up.

Put Pesonen in goal. He came all the way over from Sweden to play in the NHL. It would only be fair.

Finally... MT doesn't have to tiptoe around the goaltender issue and can just play the guy who will take us to the Cup.

Late in Saturday's game, I noticed him lifting his right leg up and down, like he was flexing/favoring it. I believe this was during a TV timeout, but I don't think it was right after the save on Roy (though I'm uncertain of the timing). Max even came over to the net and bent down to talk to him, like he was looking at his leg, then skated back to the bench and said something to MT (assuming telling him MAF was OK to keep going).

It's time MT stops being such a screw. He needs to wake up and give this pesonen kid a chance.

from the pens website
http://penguins.nhl.com/team/app/?servi ... eid=392900
Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury suffered an undisclosed injury and did not attend Pittsburgh's practice on Monday. He is listed as day-to-day and will not play against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night at Mellon Arena at 7 p.m.

"He's not going to play (Tuesday)," head coach Michel Therrien said. "It's not a major injury but we don't want to take any risks. That's why we want to be really cautious with his injury."

Therrien confirmed that Fleury suffered the injury late in Saturday's game against the Buffalo Sabres. Fleury still played the entire game.

If he isn't healthy enough to backup Dany Sabourin on Tuesday night then the Penguins will re-call a goalie from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Doesn't sound too major. Another opportunity for Sabu to stay sharp.

Nice for Sabu that he gets to rock his Alternate goaltender mask now.

Looks like he'll be ready just in time once Sabu's 14 year contract expires.
