Roll Call: 11/18 vs. Minnesota Wild

Postby Eismann on Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:35 pm

Where you at: Recliner. Taking the kid for a flu shot.
Whatchu doing: Probably going to be ankle-deep in Big Mac wrappers, following obligatory McD's trip after the doc.

And new to this week's Where You At? Whatchu Doin?

Prediction:

Minny Ha-Ha: 2
Pens: 1

Max pokes in a Sid rebound for a 1-0 1st period lead, then is bear-trapped to death.

Where you at: On my chair in the living room.
Whatchu doing: Yelling, texting & drinking my tea.
Prediction: 1-0 Pens in the shootout (Malkin the lone goal scorer). Or at least that's how it played out on NHL2K9. I haven't had the "correct" result yet this season and I hope this isn't the first - what a boring game.

Whatchu doing: Hating on the people behind me who consistently sell their tickets to THE most annoying people in the world. Counting how many times Malkin falls down for no reason or crashes uncontrollably into the boards. Cheering.
Prediction: Pens 2, Wild 1 in the shootout.

I was gonna say there are some people who constantly sell their tickets to huge idiots in front of me, maybe Spikey is 2 rows in front of me. I'm in G.

So at the bottom of our section in the concourse area between 23 and 24, a guy got KO'd with one punch. It was very bloody from his head colliding with the floor. It was pretty startling to see.

Then when stuck in traffic, we saw a collision between two cars. Have no idea where the one came from, it seemed like it came from the middle of traffic to hit the other car from the side. Crazy

D23 sounds like a pretty rockin' section. I've got seats for a game later this year in D24, do I have to watch out for a beating from over there? Should I at least cover up n case of blood spatter?

We don't mess around in D23, its pretty serious. Just don't wear the opponent's gear.

Whoa, I didn't see that! There was almost violence a couple of rows behind you, too. The a-hole yinzer who bought the seats behind us complained about everything the entire game to the point where I was ready to turn around and sucker punch him right in his pie hole. I think he was one of those people who only watches sports to hate on his own team so that he can feel better about his own life. I lost count of how many times he used the word "pathetic."

Also, I realized that I have no idea which row I actually sit in. It's L, not K.

One of my favorite Mellon moments of all time was last season. The Pens were playing Montreal and a middle aged woman in a Habs jersey stood up to celebrate one of their goals. A guy in the row behind us yelled angrily and loudly, "Sit down, scum!"
