Good evening everyone. The Penguins last 6 games: 6-3 (which was 4-3 until the Pens put it away it open late), 5-4 (after coughing up a 5-0 lead), 4-3 in a shootout, 7-6 in overtime, 5-4 in a shootout, and 5-2 (a game tied with 5 minutes to go). Translation- expect a close game, stay until the very end, and take your nitroglycerin if you have heart problems. What's great is that the Pens have won lately despite the fact they haven't really played their best hockey. We're still waiting for the eventual Sidney Crosby explosion here where he reminds everyone he's the best player in the world, the defense has been jittery at times, etc. Still, they're winning, and winning covers up all the blemishes. I can't recall a hockey team that looked more composed when trailing and more lost at sea when leading. Are we sure that Bruce Arians isn't calling plays for the Pens?
Tonight is a pretty big measuring stick for both teams, even if Minnesota has possibly the worst nickname in all of sports. The Wild? Seriously? What's a Wild? Both teams have roughly the same amount of points. It appears that Marian Gaborik, the object of affection of many Pens fans, will miss tonight's game.

Just remember, the Flyers suck. Should the Pens win, this thread will wither and die as do all gameday threads after wins. Should the Pens lose, the board will demand blood and it will all be Fleury's fault for being hurt. Well, Fleury and Whitney. It's always fun to blame Whitney. Go Pens.
