I knew that they would eventually have to lose a game after all this is an 82 game season. BUT GEEZ LOUIS did it have to be against the Wild of all teams. Come on this should never have gone to a SO let alone OT. Give me a break it looks as if the team played down to the team they were playing and paid for it.

i hate crosby on the shootouts. he shoots the puck directly at the goalie every time. no way i would have him in the top 3 if i was MT.

No excuse by Sid there. He showed zero effort on that shootout. He could do that 500 times and it would never go in.

Why not Malkin in the shootout? Sheesh... Sykora gets stopped alot now because he consistently goes backhand.... Sidney doesnt deke like he can. He picks spots and shoots. Malkin throws head fakes and moves.

Gah.

Minnesota wins on a goal they didnt even score..... Ziggy won the faceoff into the net.....

Whatevs. It's a point against a WC team.

Good riddance Minnesota.

Sid's attempt wasn't much to watch, but considering Backstrom is the epitome of "conservation of motion," I'm guessing Crosby figured deking wasn't that great of an option. Besides, it he picks his shot and hits it, everyone's opinion changes drastically.

He took a shot, Backstrom beat him. Does it really matter how?

I must say Sid looked disinterested all game. Yuck game. I will say it again, I cannot stand the overtime system. Award zero points to the loser. It only drags out a completely dull game.

Have to agree that we never came close to figuring out backstrom tonight. Usually I prefer Sid to make a move, but backstrom was having nothing of the moves that were being pulled on him - I mean he wasn't fooled one bit.

Well other than this butt game it was still a good week. And we got a point.

Sorry. I just can't get the word "butt" out of my mind.

reward for winning the SO vs. philly

you havent figured out his reward system yet?

Letang and EC made sick moves hence their inclusion. Biron sucks and Gogo got lucky. Against a real goalie that backhander doesn't work. But at least he made a move, Sykora and Crosby dissapoint.

How many without Brodeur?

Plus, it's not exactly as though Crosby has been a shootout scoring demon when he elects to deke...

I think both Sid and Malkin looked just dis-something all game long. It may have been Minny's play, or just an off game, but those two sure weren't at the top of their game tonight.

I would skate real fast at Backstrom and try to hit the post to bank it in. Might go in, might not but at least hearing "clang" would be better than those poor shots.
