Until otherwise failing, Gogo is an NHL defenseman. Next.

The games where they would mic him for television were always awesome.

Yup.

It would actually make more sense to play Boucher on the wing if needed, because he's a veteran and could still play the point on the powerplay. Plus, he is not overly physical, but he CAN play physical, clog the lanes, and adjust more quickly than a rookie can.

Some players just lack the skill to score (Scuderi) and thus their sole value is to defend and block shots. And, while it would be better for Goligoski to be playing forward than for him to ride the bench, that probably will not happen because Eaton is playing poorly of late, Gonchar is a question mark at best, and at the rate some of those guys block shots, other nagging injuries are bound to occur, and there will be plenty of ice time available for Goligoski AND Boucher.

But if I'm the coach, there's no way I'm taking ice time away from guys like Matt Cooke to put a defenseman at forward. Now Dupuis, there's another story. I'd rather have Boucher on the 4th line and PP specialist than to have Dupuis in there.

First of all, I wouldn't be so sure of that...and secondly (and most importantly) those aren't our only two options...there's a small window in a talented hockey player's career where he can be sent to the minors...if we sent him down, he logs huge minutes, furthers his defensive game, etc. and worst case scenario, he's only right over in Wilkes-Barre, so whenever we need him, we can send the company car for him...

There's no reason, after Sarge and Whit return to have GoGo at forward, NONE, that's not an option as far as I'm concerned for any of our d-men...it's just not something you do really...especially when there's no good reason to...there's no reason for GoGo to be a scratch of any kind either...if he's not playing in the NHL, he's playing the AHL...and in each instance, he shall have a "D" in front of his name...with all due respect, it's as simple as that...
