Visiting teams

Postby TheTimeHasCome on Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:52 am

So I know this thread will start all kinds of shenanigans but, i'm gonna ask anyway.

Does anyone know where visiting teams might stay when in Pittsburgh. I'm pretty sure Vancouver will be in tonight due to the early start tomorrow and I would love to get my Luongo All star jersey signed.

tonights light up night shin digg will bring me to town and I have tickets for tomorrows game so hopefully i can get some info on where to "stalk" the team.

Call different hotels and ask for a player.

I don't know if every team does it, but when I was there one year, some players stayed at the Marriott across the street from the arena.

The Laffers were staying at the Omni William Penn a couple years back when I was there. Some stupid leafers were talking about calling Alex Steen's room in the elevator after the game.

The Marriott City Center is a common place that they stay. The Thrashers stayed at the Renaissance Hotel right down the street back in March. I went there to meet my friend for breakfast and we ended up eating with some of the Thrashers. Good times. But yeah, those are two places where I know they stay.

Last year the Kings stayed at the Renaissance because I saw a bunch of them walking past the Kwik mart on my way to work one afternoon. Teams stay different places....maybe just try to go to the arena early tomorrow before the morning skate? Sometimes players come out afterward as they leave at different times.

The Senators and Red Wings were both at the William Penn last year during the playoffs, I am inclined to say.

Sens stayed at the Wyndham here in Oakland, for reasons unknown. Some teams have also stayed at the Westin and the Hilton, I've heard, but it seems to be the Renaissance or the Omni that most teams choose
