espn's quarterly report in case you need a laugh

biggest laugh Jacques Lemaire, yes the same one that ruined hockey, is "the best coach in the game".

Jacques Lemaire is a disgrace, just like ESPN.

Did you guys catch their power rankings like 2 or 3 weeks ago? They forgot to even do them for the first 6 or 7 weeks of the season so they had to apologize for it. Typical ESPN, forgetting about hockey.

The only reason I still visit that site is for their scoreboard and boxscores, and John Buccigross' columns. Everything else on there is garbage.

Whether its by accident or not, I can't disagree with it. Power Rankings shouldn't be done till there is something to go by.

One of the comments was suggesting that Lidstrom should be considered for the MVP: MVP being the most valuable to his team. Who in their right mind would think that Lidstrom is the lynchpin of that team right now. In the past, maybe. Right now? No way.

Lord knows that when think of the Red Wings this year, Lidstrom pops into my mind. Yeah, a guy whose team is tied at #20 in the league with Philly? for goals against and tied at #14 for points by a defenseman with Girardi should be recognized for his contribution.

Malkin, the NHL's points leader, is 6th on Lebrun's list. Crosby isn't even on it.

Crosby, 5th in the NHL in scoring, is 8th on Burnside's list.

But hey, everyone loves Crosby, right? Conspiracy!

That's probably because his sticks have "GINO" printed on them in the spot where players' names go.

I don't know why people are upset... is it because Malkin and Crosby aren't 1/2? The funny thing is that by having both, they almost exclude each other in a year like this from MVP when both are doing so well.

Crosby was on both lists, and being that he is behind Malkin in points, it's pretty generous to having him in the 8/9 spots.

AO at 2 seems a little silly, but other than that, I don't see why people get mad when Pittsburgh's entire roster isn't above everyone else in the league. There are other teams out there that lean on players a lot more than the Pens have needed to lean on Sid and Malkin.
