The officials called 68 minutes of penalties in the first two periods. They called 4 in the last period. Vancouver was playing pre-lockout hockey the last five minutes and getting away with it.

Vancouver just beat the Pens fair and square. And they did it after their all-star goaltender left the game early in the first. They deserved to win.

As long as Sabu continues to give up at least one softy in every start, the Penguins will have to battle for each win.

100% disagree. The team played like crap the first 2 periods. Vancouver barely still beat them.

That was an awfully officiated game if there ever was one.

Sorry to sound like a Flyers, Caps, or Wings fan, but Ohlund got away with 3 or 4 very borderline hits.

And to toss Cooke in the opening minute was pure ****.

Anyway, beat the Isles on Wednesday.

Ohlund's hit on Talbot was a legit hit and nothing against the rulebook at all. If that is a Pen making that hit, everyone celebrates.

Hate to blame the refs but Vancouver was clutching and grabbing like mad men the entire 3rd period and was never called for it. Officiating in the NHL doesnt exist.

If there's a bright side, the Rangers are losing 2-0 at Ottawa.

The team played like crap because Vancouver shut them down. They blocked tons of shots and never allowed the Penguins to set up much in the offensive zone in the first two. That, coupled with another soff goal from Sabu, and the Canucks earned the win.

completely agree.

All he did was lay a good clean hit. Why do NHL players have to fight over clean hits? It's idiotic.

Not that that isn't good news, but that only means the Pens failed on a chance to make up ground on them in the Atlantic. They still have games in hand, but very disappointing and frustrating loss nonetheless.

The team didn't put out the effort the first 2 periods. Vancouver was on their heels almost all of the 3rd.

My whole problem with the refs is that they call the game the way it should be during the first period and mostly during the second. But when it comes to the 3rd, especially the last 7 minutes or so, the refs allow as much grabbing and holding as ever. Its easy to shut Sid and Geno down when whenever they touch the puck they are being completely mauled.

He's given up 3 soff goals in 3 straight games, you can't have that.

Not at all, I think he's a quality back-up. But once again, with Fleury out, he's proving that he'll never be anything more than that. In the games since Fleury's injury, he has let at least one softy in every time. That's why he's a back-up.

Keep harping on the soft goal won't change a thing. Every goalie gives up soft goals. He did against Atlanta and we still won.

This team didn't wake up to the 3rd period. If they would of played like this all game then we'd have a win.

That's directed towards nocera.

Pens are winning the Atlantic. It's in the bag. As for the conference, that'll come down to the Pens, Bruins, Canadiens, and maybe the Crapitals because of their terrible division.
