Yeah what was up with all that "WOOOing" at the end of the game? Who do they think they are Ric Flair??

Yea they are annoying. I'm sure if we played them more they'd be up there with Det,Phi, Wash as one of my most hated teams.

Wow, got something against Sabourin? He's been very good in every start this year.

The Pens' played flat for majority of the game, thus lost. They'll bounce back against the Islanders.

sorry but that i cant agree with at all.... you cant barrel in like that without a regard for the player at all.. talbot is in a slightly different position there and hes arch-backed into the boards possible seroius injury... i dont care about effecting the game, cause with our PP today it wouldnt have mattered, but thats just careless and lazy hockey

Sid and Geno combine for four shots. Guys, it's legal to shoot. There's never been a penalty for shooting.

The only good thing was this was against a western conference opponent.

Keep harping on the soft goal won't change a thing. Every goalie gives up soft goals. He did against Atlanta and we still won.

This team didn't wake up to the 3rd period. If they would of played like this all game then we'd have a win.

That's directed towards nocera.

Agreed, and they had to fight like hell for that win. Without the soft goal in this one, it's tied.

And saying that the Penguins just didn't try until the third doesn't give any credit at all to Vancouver. The Penguins didn't play their best for the first 40 minutes, and I think The Canucks had something to do with that.

Vancouver defensive effort/defensive scheme just dominated the game after Luongo went down. I think I can count the number of quality shots we had on one hand.

Sabus given up 11 goals in his 7 games. He clearly needs to go.

The dude's inconsistent and that's why he's a back-up. If he DIDN'T give up soft goals, he'd be a starter somewhere. I'm not stating anything earth shattering here.

Not that that isn't good news, but that only means the Pens failed on a chance to make up ground on them in the Atlantic. They still have games in hand, but very disappointing and frustrating loss nonetheless.

Pens are winning the Atlantic. It's in the bag. As for the conference, that'll come down to the Pens, Bruins, Canadiens, and maybe the Crapitals because of their terrible division.

Oh I agree. Im not worried about it, but at the same time it would have been nice to gain on the Rangers now. The faster they can get on top the division the faster they can start pulling away. 3-0 Ottawa now btw!

The thing that concerns me with the Pens is they have only scored 5 goals in the last 3 games.

Offense was on a hot streak, then thanks to minnesota it cooled off a bit. I'm lookin for it to get back on track against the Islanders.

Pens are 14th in the league in 5-on-5 goals for. 16th in the league in PP goal %. With this lineup, you'd think we'd be scoring more....especially in the regular season when games aren't as tight-checking as the playoffs.

They should beat the Islanders. At Buffalo on Friday will be tough, but Buffalo is struggling right now.

Therrien's post-game presser, he called out the PP. He said every chance can't be tic-tac-toe. They have to start working. They've been outworked by every PK unit of late. He said they're losing battles and not getting the ugly goals.

They've played two of the best defensive teams in that span while the PP has cooled down. This is after the offense had games of five, six, seven, four goals... can't live and die by each game.

Wow, you mean the reason the PP is struggling might be that the players aren't executing? I thought it all could be blamed on Yeo?

I hated the way the Pens played today. They were trying to be too fancy and it wasn't working. They finally started to dump and chase in the third and what would you know, they started to sustain pressure and get chances. They have to adjust the way they play against these defensive teams. They could have taken the game over when Luongo went down but they stopped dictating the play. I've also seen enough of these Western trapping teams that want to play 2-1 games every night.

Craziness to start the game. Just felt weird the whole way after that.

Losing Cooke hurt a lot. Broke up what has been the Pens' best line lately.

I know some are upset about the hit on Talbot toward the end of the game but I thought it was alright. I was more angry about the two blatant trips the Canucks got away with in the last three minutes of the game. Just absurd.

Overall, I thought this game was boring. Just meh.

Rangers lose at Ottawa, 4-1. Pens remain three points back with three games in hand and a game at MSG a week from Wednesday.

Yep, and I tell it how it is, this always good juju BS is out the window for me.
"You picked a bad game my friend. This was a trap from the start. They were on the road, on a roll and a 2:00 start. Could have almost bet the farm on this one. That said, the Pens could have won this game if they would have shaked the cobwebs enough to actually play.
