Should Mike Zigomanis and Shane O'Brien be suspended for the slashing fouls at the end of the game?

Yes - There's no place in the game for that kind of garbage.

You're a Mary. Stickin' guys is good fun.

If the NHL wasn't such a pansy league now with the rules to curtail fighting, that would have been a situation where the gloves would have come off. The game clock had expired, so they weren't allowed to go.

I was in D21 when it happened and got a pretty decent look at it. From what i remember they both swung at eachother, hitting eachothers sticks, then Ziggy did take a good 2 hander and hit O'Brien's stick, surprised it didnt snap in half. The linesman came in and that was all. BUT, i do agree that what ever happened, both should have to sit for a game. It was childish and just doesnt belong. If they wanted to drop the gloves they should have. Your stick shouldnt be used as a weapon.

But he was never on waivers. He was traded to the Pens for future considerations.

This is what I don't understand, the game seems like its protecting cheap shot artists and restricting the guys who would keep them in line.

Yes he was, he cleared then the Yotes traded him for the considerations, which will probably just be Phoenix's waiver fee from when they put him on before.

QFT. $20,000, I think was the cost.

I prefer if you don't remember it, then it didn't happen.
