Boy, Fedotenko really seems like he doesn't wanna sit in the pressbox anymore. He is really starting to stick with Geno and Sykie. And Talbot is a more than adequate replacement for Kennedy on that line, in terms of energy, grit, battling along the boards, and doing the little things.

Same lines I would use

Oh yeah, this sucks.

Other than Crosby, Malkin, and Staal, this was the one forward we could least afford to lose.

Get well TFK.

This is Minard's big chance to show that he can stick with the club. Unfortunately for him with Zigo back he'll just be plodding along with 6-7 minutes a game on the 4th line.

Bummer... He was really starting to come into his own, and that line with Staal and Cooke just won't run the same without him.

What do you have against Taffe?

I think he's been more than serviceable in the past.

Kennedy will be missed for that time
he forces turnovers
he works the boards hard
he beats defensemen to loose pucks
and he likes to shoot the puck a lot

nobody in WBS can come close to replacing all that

but I guess we'll get to have looks at a bunch of different WBS'ers.

Its nothing personal, Taffe just reminds me of the players Craig Patrick filled the roster with in his last couple years. Taffe strikes me as one of those invisible 3rd/4th liners that doesn't score, doesn't hit, doesn't really bring anything to the table other than filling a roster spot.

Like I mentioned before with the Tootoo comment, I'd much rather see an energy guy fill out the 4th line than Taffe.

Surovy, Beech, Endicott, Pirjeta, Beranek, Kraft, Peterson, Lefebvre, Murley, Daigle, Fata, Koltsov, Falloon and Dome....etc.

You get my point.

And he's been good in the AHL.

He is a proven solid fourth liner, and Pesonen is, as of now, horrid at this level.

I don't know how a guy that's played less than 30 total minutes in the NHL in 4 games can be classified as anything, including horrid or awesome.

Really too bad for TK,he is one of my favourite players.. YOu guys really cant judge Peso, how can he perform in NHL,because he played-what 24 minutes in 4gp -just aint enough to prove anything, especially on 4th line. When Ziggy comes back,he will center 4th line as usual and Max will play on 3rd line, soo too bad for MInard. Its better that he plays top line in AHL,than plays 5 minutes in NHL on line with Godard. Its better that we call up Bizz or Thomas for that. MInard must play at least regulary on 3rd line to be able to prove himself

Sorry.

This is what I think of when someone mentions Jeff Taffe for 3rd or 4th line duty.

TK = top 3 players on our team. Most consistent. Most patience with the puck on his stick.
