Pens Radio in West Virginia

Postby Kicksave on Mon Dec 08, 2008 12:44 pm

Long story short, I'll be driving to and from Clarksburg, WV tonight before the game. I get 105.9 pretty much all the way until Fairmont, WV but that's where it starts to get really staticy.

Pittsburgh, PA WXDX-FM The X at 105.9
Beaver Falls, PA WBVP-AM 1230 AM
Ambridge, PA WMBA-AM 1460 AM
Uniontown, PA WMBS-AM 590 AM
Johnstown, PA WKGE-AM 850 AM
Loretto, PA WWGE-AM 1400 AM
Warren, PA WKNB-FM 104.3 FM
Butler, PA WISR-AM 680 AM
Dubois, PA WDSN-FM 106.5 FM
Indiana, PA WQMU-FM 92.5 FM
Punxsutawney, PA WKQL-FM 103.3 FM
State College, PA WMAJ-AM 1450 AM
Connellsville, PA WLSW-FM 103.9 FM
Cumberland, MD WTBO-AM 1450 AM
Wheeling, WV WOMP-AM 1290 AM
East Liverpool, OH WOHI-AM 1490 AM
Steubenville, OH WSTV-AM 1340 AM
Warren, PA WNAE-FM 102.7 FM
Frostburg, MD WFRB-AM 560 AM

That's all the radio stations that carry Pens' hockey. Anybody from around that area know which one of these can get picked up around Clarksburg? Maybe one of those Maryland stations?

i think you may be out of luck.

from my experience traveling from charleston to pittsburgh on 79, the only thing i could pick up on either dial was 105.9 when i was on the north end of fairmont.

It's funny. I can't get the freaking Pens game but I've listened to Chicago and Minnesota games on their respective AM stations.

That is really impressive the Pens have THAT big a list of NHL affiliates.
I think most teams have less than three...if any.
Has this always been the case...if so...it speaks to the Pens base.

I got the Pens' good enough on the Uniontown 590 station, although it still wasn't that clear.
