As practice wound down, several players engaged in strip hockey -- you don't score on a breakaway from the blue line, you take something off; you score, you get to put something back on. The clear loser was defenseman Kris Letang, who eventually was trying to score on one skate -- his left foot was bare -- and was also without his helmet, gloves, jersey and upper-body pads.

I was there yesterday, and it was actually pretty funny. The guys were having a lot of fun with it, and after Letang took off his skate (it was actually his right foot, not his left like they said in the article...I have pictures), Dupuis helped to push him along to the goalie by pushing him along with his hockey stick and skating behind him. They then tried a three-legged attempt with Letang resting his bare foot on Dupuis's left skate. That one ended horribly. Letang had a lot of fun with it, and everyone had a good laugh.

Were their breakout attempts contested by defenders? I mean Kris Letang is usually pretty good on shootouts

funny, but why take off a skate before shorts or underarmor? I'm no hockey expert but I think it would be easier to score with 2 skates and no shirt.

That's exactly what my friend and I were thinking. The players were trying to get him to take his shirt off, but he chose to take off his right skate. I figured he did it because he is a pretty shy guy, and there were about 50 people in the stands.

Yeah, he did miss on the first one skate attempt and had to take his sock off. Didn't get a pic of him taking the sock off.

He did manage to score on the barefoot attempt. Everyone on the ice, and in the stands, cheered for him. I'm still convinced they totally set it up for that to happen.

Practice was a TON of fun. I had never seen Therrien really laugh, but he was about ready to die at some points. Sid's team won the baseball tournament, and when they won, he screamed like a little girl. That was priceless. Sykora also had a "C" taped onto his jersey...I guessed that it stood for clutch. It was just a fun time. Lots of laughs and jokes, I'm glad I got to go and finally see baseball for myself.
