Please...I hope to God this resembles good news about Ziggo coming back Friday night. And how much more longer is Kennedy out?

Maybe it's just the losing streak, but it seems Tk has been out forever.

Taffe and Wallace were two of our best players tonight.

Sent down so they can hang out with their girlfriends?

Because only Zigo will be back on Friday. Unless Letang's back and they plan on using 7 d-men.

Not sure if you're being ironic or not, but you do know that Talbot would have to clear waivers to go down, which almost certainly would not happen?

Honestly.... Taffe and Wallace were playing hard tonight.... wtf would you send them down for? I'd honestly rather see them play than Satan and even Talbot recently.

Strange, Taffe saved a goal for us tonight when MAF got caught out of his net. Hmmm... interesting message to send. Even if TK or Ziggy are back and you need to make room. Why not sit someone who hasnt been playing well? Maybe sit MAx so he can heal his foot or sit a player that isnt focused and needs to observe from the top for a game or two. I really really think that Staal would benefit from watching from the press box. Even Whit admitted to learning a thing or two watching.

Staal, Talbot, and Satan all need to be scratched.

Very interesting move, we are now short two forwards for Friday unless Ziggo and TK comeback. I honestly cant see both of them back by then, maybe a "new" call-up coming... Caputi? Jeffery? Johnson?

I can't figure anything out at this point. I thought Wallace was a great addition to the bottom lines. Seeing one of our most tenacious workers sent down when grit and effort are our biggest issue stings.

How much you want to bet that Letang is back Friday, and he is on the first line with Sid. I'm not saying its a good idea, or that I personally would do it, but Therrien will do it. Any takers? :-)

Two words:

Luca Caputi...

Who knows? Everyone, including me, is talking about getting a change. Maybe this is Luca's time....and quite possibly the spark the Pens may need.

But to my understanding, he still appears to be a year away.

I think you can pretty much rule out Johnson getting called up. He's not ready yet. Caputi and Jeffrey are both long shots too. Maybe they're just sending them down for the break? I'm not sure.

Wasn't that impressed by Taffe, thought he tailed off. I thought Wallace had less of an impact the more he played, but I think we'll be seeing him again very soon.

Did you expect Wallace to be this goal score? He was solid in what he brings, he out played, Talbot, Staal, and at time Sid since he was brought up.. The kid gave 110% every shift.

Taffe was on of our best forwards last night, especially with Godard down low.

I don't think I used the word "goal" anywhere in my post.

I really liked what I saw from Wallace.

He's definitely a cheap option for next season.

Both Taffe and Wallace have played very well since being recalled. Hopefully we see them back soon.

The same as the team has been, less forechecking. It may have been a product of who he was playing with, but given his status, he was always likely to be one of the first ones sent down. As I said, I expect to see him again shortly. He certainly showed more than the other forward call-ups.

I thought there was a roster freeze for the holidays?!?! Bombulie alludes to the following from the CBA:
13.15 Holiday Roster Freeze. For all Players on an NHL Active Roster ... as of midnight local time December 19, a roster freeze shall apply through midnight local time December 27, with respect to Waivers, Trades and Loans; ... However, during the roster freeze period a Club can make any Player transactions necessary for the Club to come into compliance with Article 50 as a result of a Player being removed from the Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Exception.

But bringing Whitney back doesn't pull us over the cap or anything like that. What gives?

I dont believe call ups and send downs apply.... and I think they where called up as emergency recalls so they are sent down exempt from waivers (minus wallace who doesnt need to clear)

But I could be wrong

I don't get how you send wallace back down, he's been playing his tail off since day 1 of his callup. he has far and away outplayed some of the regulars (satan, talbot)... scratch these guys a couple of games in favor of a guy like wallace, it tells them guess what, if you dont figure out a way to start winning battles on the wall, i'm gonna play the wilkes barre guys that work

if i have to watch miro satan half-ass it one more time, i'm gonna explode. I can not stand this guy

This link shows that Stone was reassigned. From that, Rotoworld surmised that the Pens decided to keep Wallace over Stone:

The Penguins sent Ryan Stone back to Wilkes Barre/Scranton of the AHL.
The team decided to keep Tim Wallace over Stone. Not much of a choice if you ask us.
