Classic Pens on FSN

Postby offsides on Thu Dec 25, 2008 2:22 pm

Four Classic Pens games on FSN all day today. Watching the 89 game at Phily that broke our losing streak there right now. Any day I can watch a Flyer loss is a good day. :D

There's a lot of classic games on NHL Network today as well.

I just got done watching the Kings and Rangers outside at Caesar's Palace.

edit: wouldn't it be pretty sweet to have an entire "singular only" thread? someone get on that!

It was on yesterday as well.

They also had some hour long special, behind the scenes, on the making of the classic.

It's just too bad that not one second of it was with the Penguins, but all with the Sabres.

As a penguin fan , I never saw ray bourque play well against the pens.

Sid and Gino have miles to go before any comparision to Mario.

66 was a bad dude. I particularly enjoyed the Game 5 North Stars series in the 3rd period, when 66 and I think Mark Tinordi were exchanging words and 66 kept bobbing his head like he was going to punch Tinordi (or whomever the North Star was, maybe it was Dahlen come to think of it)...

Every time the announcers referred to Brian ellows I thought back to Stevens/Trottier calling him out from the bench.

It's weird seeing the arena with no Section F.
