minor league show case

Postby no name on Fri Dec 26, 2008 4:17 pm

Is it possible that we are show casing our minor leaguers for possibel trade bait?? There is no reason for us to bring 10 guys from the minors up and down. Even with the injures you almost always know who is worth having hear and who isn;t. I was talkin with a few guys at work and one said he though we were show casing these guys as possible add ins to trades with other teams. I thought it made sence. So i wanted to see what you guys thought. My only arguenment was if you are doing this you barely played thoes guys or gave them a chance.

What is the point of showcasing them for trade bait? Nothing you trade them for is going to get you something of impact back for the Pens.

I think due to the injuries we've had, they're just taking a look at these guys and sending a message to the players in the organization that if there's an injury, your time to play in the NHL could be anytime.

I'm pretty sure none of our AHLers have much value.

None of them are worth even a first round pick.
