When you look at that record, it kind of keeps things in perspective. The way people are talking, you'd think the Pens are like 2-11 or something. This is a bump in the road, not a free fall. It just happened to coincide with a few other teams going on a tear which is why the Pens have dropped dangerously close to being out of the playoff picture.

Yeah with a win on Tuesday they could be just 1 win away from .500. Sounds pretty good to me considering the troubles they have been having as well as the injuries.
Just looking at the schedule...The pens play another 14 games in January with 2 or 3, 3 games in 4 night situations. Hopefully that is the month that they can turn it around and start to make a run. Barring no more injuries (which is unlikely) they could potentially have everyone healthy except Gonchar very soon. Also the Pens have an 8 game homestand from March 14-April 1. That will be a nice break from the road coming down the stretch. Last year I believe our last 8 games were against division rivals. This year with the new schedules, the Pens only play their division 4 times in their final 20 games (just one a piece)

That just a bad score,no doubt about it. I just hope that when we are complete,we will stay almost 100% healthy, maybe missing just one player or two max.,not 3-4-5 all the time like almost the whole season already incl.some impact players, which cost us a much better score...

11 points in 13 "bad" games isn't terrible. The Pens need a much better pace to win the Atlantic, but they're still in the playoff hunt.
Last year before the Thanksgiving comeback in Ottawa that turned both teams' fortunes, the Pens were 8-11-2, and look where they ended up.
Write the bad month off, bring some players back, get a full week of rest in mid-January for the All-Star Break, and things should be all right...hockey is always going to be a sport that demands a very long-term view of things.
