You do realize that he has 12 goals and 25 points right? And you do realize we are already struggling to put up goals recently, right?

Stupid, stupid, stupid move.

Even with Gill as a precaution, no one can tell me that Orpik, Scuds, Whitney, Eaton and Gogo can't play a man down. This is a dumb move. What a waste of Goligoski. If anything throw Boucher up front.

Satan is an empty jersey, I 'd much rather go with:
Dupuis-Crosby-Malkin
Fedotenko-Staal-Sykora
Cooke-Talbot-Wallace
Goligoski-Jeffrey-Godard

Totally agree, a lot of teams use 5 D by choice and spot a 6 D. It wouldn't be hard to play one game with 5 D.

Why even bother dressing a 4th line tonight? We don't have our 4th line center or our 4th line enforcer. Wouldn't it simply be better to have Boucher just sit on the bench and go with these lines:

Staal-Crosby-Satan
Fedotenko-Malkin-Sykora
Talbot-Malkin/Crosby-Dupuis
Cooke-Jeffrey-Wallace

They're going to be physically challenged/beaten up by Boston as it is, so double shifting Geno and Sid for the entire game would be unwise.

Should we alert EMS?

C'mon, bruins playing well, but I have faith penguins will not be quivering in their boots.

I completely 100% absolutely agree with you there. In fact I pointed that same thing out in another thread. You just can't do it...he is playing well and it would just crush his own confidence and his confidence and faith in the Penguins organization.

Goligoski's a pro hockey player. He knows the score. He knows where he is on the depth chart.

It won't be as easy for him as you claim it to be. The guy is a rookie defenseman who has 6G, 12A, and 18P. And not to mention a +9 rating. The whole point is to put the best possible product on the ice to win the Cup...and that lineup includes Goligoski playing in the NHL for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Who do you sit of Gonchar, Letang, Orpik, Gill, Scuderi, and Whitney for Goligoski?

If he's that emotionally fragile that he responds negatively to being sent down then he should be sent down.

But I suspect he's a bit tougher mentally than that. He did after all, make it to the pros.

as many of you already said sending GoGo down would be bad, cause he is among top 6 on Pens D,so if that means that Boucher or Eaton have to sit in pressbox, soo do it MT. GoGO is better than both of them. And we have to play with best we got, atleast its logical to us.When Gonch is back,we should get rid of one d-man by then already, if Shero is smart. But from what i saw this year from Alex i really dont want to see him traded. Gonch will be here maybe just one more season and then we will have Whit,Letang and GoGo as offen.d-mans which is fine and we put 3 defen.d-man(Orpik,Scuds,..)to play along and everything works out good..

You're just wrong in both threads.

He's no idiot, he undertands he's the only one that can be sent down without passing waviers. It wont do one thing to his confidence other than the fact that he'll be dissapointed for having to play with the baby pens till next year or he's traded.

Outside of Malkin with Sid,and moving Staal up, isn't that basically our lines now?

Gogo on the 4th line was a major fail. I dont get why Eaton and Boucher play D while our best offensive D this season is on the 4th line.

terrible coaching. Way to toughen up your 4th line against a physical Eastern team!

PFIM gave the answer earlier. 43 had to play because he plays the right side. 4 & 19 also play the right side (they can go both ways  ), but 44, 2, 7, & 13 don't. 43 will sit when 58 comes back since he plays the right side. 55 also plays the right side, but that is a few months away.
