No doubt, they have to have a new mindset and keen understanding of where they are at now, let's hope the break has pushed the reset button and flipped the "on" switch.

Is Orpik back?

I wonder if Minard's and Taffe's status as AHL All-Stars affected their chances of being called up.

Thomas and Bissonnette make as much sense as anyone. Thomas showed good hustle and has been used as a PK'er, which can't hurt him considering how much the PK has struggled. Bissonnette brings an element to the team that has been effective. Maybe they also felt that guys like Jeffrey and Wallace were plateauing a bit after impressive beginnings.

Excellent news. Biz and Thomas have both filled their roles very, very well. Biz-Thomas-Godard is a quality 4th line. Thomas has played well enough to get up onto the 3rd line, IMO. Good head on his shoulders.

No you're right, same guy. Glad to see Bissonnette back as well as Thomas. I was impressed with Billy in his last stint, nothing fancy but he was doing all the little things right.

I like call ups.. Maybe Jeffrey and Minard will be up too ,if Max and Dups cant play yet..
My Lines if Max and Dups healthy :
out : Orpik,Gonch (D) - Ziggy, Fedo (F)
Cooke - Crosby - Malkin
Satan - Staal - Sykora
Kennedy - Talbot - Dupuis
Bizz - Thomas - Godard
Whitney - Scuderi
Letang - Gill
Eaton - Goligoski

I would prefer TK on top lines and Satan on 3rd,but Satan aint player for 3rd line duties.

Speaking of call-ups..

Minard went 14.250 in the fastest skater event in the AHL All-Stars skills competition. Just sayin, to those here who think he really doesn't have any wheels..

glad to see Bill Thomas back up. I thought he provided much needed PK depth in his most recent callup.

I am indifferent about Bissonentte.

I hope Biz Nasty continues to impress. I will have to second the expectation of Orr vs Godard and Voros vs Bissonette.

Yeah, it's funny how Orr seems to have Godard's number. I mean, you'd think after some of the beasts Godard has taken down this year, Orr would not be so tough, but something about that match-up favors Orr. Of course, I won't mind if Godard plays it the same way as last game if the Pens are leading. It was a smart move not to go with him while the Pens were up. Then to go after Gomez like Orr did to Crosby was hilarious. I have to say I really wanted BGL back after last season, but I was totally wrong. Godard is the Perfect tough guy for this team, IMO.
