The Hilarity of the Latest TSN Power Rankings

For the latest rankings they are giving out "mid-season" awards to the teams. These are the Pens' ones.

Hart: Evgeni Malkin
Norris: Alex Goligoski
Vezina: Marc-Andre Fleury
Selke: Jordan Staal
Calder: Alex Goligoski
Breakthrough: Kristopher Letang
Disappointment: Miroslav Satan

The 'norris' category is probably the most ridiculous. And the 'breakthrough' is questionable too..

Yeah the Gogo for Norris is probably just because he's got 6 goals and the second best +/-. Doesn't mean he was the best defender on the team. Statistically, though, he's probably the best.

Who do you think would be the Pens "norris" guy? Orpik?

Letang and Gogo should be switched.

Staal for the Selke? Are they high? At least pick someone who is a plus.

Hart: Evgeni Malkin
Norris: none

Selke: none

Disappointment: More than we would like to think about

None = no one stands out enough to warrant this "award".

How can breakthrough be Kristopher Letang when Goligoski gets Norris?
Shouldn't Goligoski also be breakthrough then, as he is a rookie and according to them is our norris?

I think a strong case can be made that Scuds has been our best defenseman this year.

I give Selke to Sid as Penny said.

I'll second Scuds for the Norris, and nominate him for the Selke, too, cause I'm crazy like that.

It's a real bummer when a "defensive" forward is a minus
