Tough one tonight

Postby offsides on Fri Jan 30, 2009 4:21 pm

Did a little checking and according to nhl.com, Jersey has won 7 games in a row. Pens need to give a full 60 minute effort tonight and MAF has to have one of his great games. We NEED the two points.

The Devils are shaping into the second-beast of the east.
A lot can happen, of course, but I don't see anyone else able to take on the Bruins for 7 games.
This is going to be a good game tonight, assuming the Pens show up.

When you have players like Crosby and Malkin on the same team, all other teams are more afraid to play you in the playoffs. Anytime you have that kind of talent on one team anything can happen, those 2 alone could take over any playoff series. Watch out if we hit the winning streak, getting hot at the right time will do this team wonders with all the youth we got.

GO PENS!!!!

Congrats to their goalie(scott clemenson) for stepping up in Brodeur's absence. I didn't think he could get the devils 1st place.
Hopefully these "shoot everyone" penguins will shock new jersey.

2 points!

Let's hope so.

I think the Rangers are fading fast, so almost no chance they would meet up with them (or the Flyers). I'm pretty suspicious of the Caps come playoff time, so - given the other options - that might be the best first-round draw. Of course, I'm getting ahead of myself a bit.

He's one of my favorite players who's not a Penguin. Kid's got the stuff, that's for sure.

This will be a tough one. A sweap these next two days would do absolute wonders for this team. They'd be 6-2 over the last 8, which is a huge improvement.

Especially with everyone in the east winning, and the teams the Pens are chasing winning.

I think last night, not one team I wanted to win won their games.

These next two games are big.

I'm confident. MAF and Clemensen are two of my fantasy goalies and MAF is starting while Clemensen is inactive. I don't want that 4 or 5-spot the Pens put on the board plus the NJ loss to hurt my goalie stats tonight so Clemensen is out:D

NJ is due for a letdown, they are playing the night after a very emotional and physical game in Boston......the Pens should be fresher and certainly more desperate.

Doc is a class act. He LOVES Hockey and great games, whether the Devs win or not.
