juju dilemma

Postby Tico Rick on Fri May 29, 2009 4:22 pm

After the closeness of Rounds 1 and 2, I decided to change things up for Round 3. So for Round 4 I wore my black Malkin jersey and I made sure that I was securely ensconced on my sofa before the games began (something which, for various reasons, I was not always able to do in the earlier rounds). I'm now 4-0 with this new arrangement. (I also stopped posting in the good juju threads, which may have been a factor as well.)

Now I have a dilemma: I have a company cookout at 6:30 tomorrow evening which I can't skip out on. The guy hosting it promises me he'll have the game on TV in the garage. The temps here in North Carolina tomorrow are supposed to be in the 80s. Since I won't be able to be sitting on my sofa at the beginning of the game, and will probably see little of the game until I get back home later in the evening, should I roast outside in my black Malkin jersey anyway, or should I totally change things up again? ...I haven't felt this much pressure since Round 2.

I'd wear something different and save the Malkin for when your able to watch on your couch. It's obviously a lethal combination when paired together.

If it works then you have a Malkin jersey to wear when you can watch at home and now you have a different combo if your forced to watch elsewhere.

Change it up.

Different surroundings calls for different JuJu.

i got the Sidney Crosby DVD for Xmas and have not watched it yet, part of the reason probably just because the way the season was going at that point- i decided to save watching it for a better time, so i ask, do i watch it prior to game 1 to get all fired up or do i continue to wait

Face facts, your juju is going to be impossible to continue, so ride the wave of change, embrace it. Go to the party with some other Pens garb on, just to show your colors in Canes country and watch the game in the garage. People give you guff, just say you still have something to root for, so you are going to root.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I just got a swell idea, one which I am not at liberty to discuss yet.
