My buddy that I met in Stockholm last year @ games 1 and 2 are in Cali this week for all 3 games! Anyone else make the trip or live here but are going to any of the games??

FYI:

There's an Italian restaurant at the South Coast Plaza called Magiano's. I was eating there one night when a bunch of the Avalanche players were seated near me and my wife. They were playing the Ducks the following night. My wife mentioned this to someone she worked with and that person said that it is not uncommon for players from visiting teams to go to Magiano's the night before the game. I'm going there tonight and hoping against hope to run into one of our boys!!!!!

I am currently washing the jersey that I've worn for every single game, the past two seasons. (I had the luxury of seeing every game for a few yrs while I had my injury). This jersey has never been washed, through all that time, throughout both of the last two playoffs, and so far through this season.

I am washing it now because I'm wearing it tomorrow.

Thanks so much! Unfortunately, I really can't attend Tuesday's game due to class. Since I'm already missing on Thursday, I probably shouldn't miss another. Stupid grad school with their stupid night classes.

And, sorry, I don't know anybody with extra tickets. Are they sold out? I find that hard to believe. Though, I wore my Crosby jersey around town for halloween and was surprised at how many heckles I got. Maybe hockey is more alive in LA than I thought?

Haha last year while packing for Sweden I was only taking essentials because I was backpacking through for 18 days in Russia, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. in packing lightly I left out My White Malkin Jersey. In Moscow I met a guy from this board who knew Malkins agent. In Finland after the exhibition game against Jokeriet we had press passes. I met just about everyone on the team. I'm not much for getting autographs but I could have had my jersey signed by everyone! Then they won the cup!

Moral of the story; ALWAYS take yur jersey!

so i messed up and got to the game barely on time last night, and wasnt able to meet up w/ everybody between periods or after the game either.

i promise to do better tomorrow night in LA! i'm taking a sick day and i live less than 5 miles from staples center - so i will be there PLENTY early!

Does anybody know of any good place to eat around Staples? I don't make it downtown too often and have never been to Staples Center before. Looking for good food (obviously) at reasonable prices (again, obviously). Thanks

well there's a Denny's a couple blocks away... if you want cheap.

otherwise there are some good places down there but they are a teensy bit pricey

people swear by The Pantry but I went there once and it Suuuuuuucked.

Interestingly, two nights ago one of the channels I get in my hotel was re-airing the Pens-CBJ game, complete with Dave Strader's call. Woot.

Without knowing it, hyjynx got a few pics of us in there, and you can juuuust make out Waddle sitting on the back of the Pens penalty box (left side). I'm the chick sitting to the left of Waddle, 3rd row up from glass.

Dags, there are also still tickets available on ticketmaster if you wanted to go that route. They're probably all lower level, though.

I'll be heading to the arena around 3:30, so I should be hanging out for a while. I think I'm going to hit up Denny's (thanks HYJYNX). I'll be in a Crosby EDGE jersey with a 250 patch (I know, about the least specific jersey I could wear). If you spot two dudes with beards, the blonde one wearing a Crosby jersey with a 250 patch, it's likely me. Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet up.
