I'm going to Raleigh on Friday for the Pens game

No, I will not be wearing a bag over my head.

Has anyone seen the pens away from home?

I've seen play from the local bar, and from various relative's homes and what-not.

I've seen the Pens in Raleigh. The arena is in the middle of nowhere and the city is ugly.

Can someone with Penguin contacts tell the team that I'm making the trip to see them? Maybe that will motivate them....ok maybe not.

Pens away from home....

Horrible hockey team in White Jerseys. Enjoy yourself!

At least you will get to see the Canes.

Seen them in Buffalo this year. It was as ugly as it is here, don't know why you are even making the trip.

At least the Buffalo fans are heartless. It took a $^&$load of Pens fans to give them their first sellout of the year!

I am making the trip because my best friend happens to live in Raliegh and they had a baby this past summer. The Pens game was an added bonus.

I've made the trip to Columbus for a game in 2002 (or maybe it was 2001). It was a really fun experience. Be ready to put up with some heckling though. The game I saw, the pens tied it up with less than a minute remaining, then won it in OT. They were a much better team then.

Also I watched the Canes play the Flyers at the RBC center in October. RBC is really a top notch arena and the fans there are polite and, regardless of some reports i've seen on this site, they love their team.
