didn't realize i was going to get charged a 20% fee or so for winning an auction. can't believe this company has no instant checkout process they want you to send in a check or wire money and if it isn't there by Dec 13th they charge a late fee? you can email for a credit card payment form who knows when they'll actually send it.

I requested a credit card payment form yesterday but I haven't received anything yet. I'm starting to think this auction company might suck.

I got mine late, but I had to manually send my credit card number. Normally I'd be sketchy about doing such a thing, but the card expired 3 days later. :)

Looks like they processed it within 48 hrs of faxing it to AssetAuctions.

its a joke that an AUCTION COMPANY is making people FAX in credit card info. who even uses a fax machine today? i'd much rather email this info to its intended party than fax it and just have it laying around.

this company is a joke.

Yeah, I wasn't very happy about faxing my info. Our building has maybe three fax machines in it and it's on the opposite end of the building that I work on. Round trip, it's literally a 15 minute walk, which was a waste of my time. If this company was as big as they say they are, why no online payment?

There's quite a few things I had my eye on when i was walking around staging my stuff. The guy who cleared my items told me to email them and they would list it. Why would I want to do that and have other people bid on something that I want? The "Flood Like A Champion Today" sign by the zamboni was gone.

I posted this in NHR but it's probably more relevant here, but I was able to snap a few pics of the visitors locker room. It is every bit as small as advertised.

Image

this was half of the room. There's another half that I couldn't get a good angle.

A shot of the arena without the Ring Of Honor

first and possibly the last time that I've seen the scoreboard dropped. Upper left part of the dome looks like it's missing the Mellon Arena ad.

plenty of seats left in Mellon.

As of today, I'd say close to 7-8k, and I'm saying that with no exaggeration.

the prices on seats will fall dramatically in the coming years....just look at seats from the Philly Spectrum still for sale.

but wasn't the condition on those seats that you had to remove them from the floor yourself?

I had a chance to walk around yesterday and there ain't much left.

Concession stands are empty, restrooms are closed, suites are staged with stuff but pretty much empty, and most of the stuff that was stickered to the walls is either gone or has been attempted to be peeled but they didn't get too far. The place is more or less running in safe mode: minimal lighting, water, etc. Only functional bathrooms were on the first level. I tried snapping pics, but with the lighting it made it rough. The little bit of light I had was offset by the glaring sun that was coming in from section 30.

I did take time to hang out in what appeared to be in A8, just sitting in one of few remaining chairs left in that section, looking around knowing that this was more than likely gonna be my last chance in the arena. I wish I could have done something similar to what the group in Buffalo did: roam the arena (although in my case, it would have been slightly more legal), take a few pics from places that most people typically don't see without moving anything in the room, but I think at this point I'm just glad that I've been in the Igloo two more times since it has been closed.

I'm gonna sort through the pics I did take when I get home. Tried a few self-pics, but with the flash, they didn't turn out too good.

gate seven. the door is unlocked but there are people inside waiting for an auction slip  .

I won an auction for an locked safe with an unknown combo. After dragging it down about 40 steps from the suite levels, I ended up riding it down the exit ramp down to gate seven. Well worth the $10, even if I can't get the safe opened.
