Question about Olympic break

I know there is a roster freeze for the break, I am wondering, however, if there is a NHL mandated break? I read in last night Ice Time (page 25) that a bunch of the players are heading home and on vacation. While I totally understand that everyone deserves a vacation and a break every once in a while, when your team plays as poorly together as this team does, would a little more practice time together hurt? They would only be missing two players and, lets face it, the Pens will have a nice long offseason to vacation in Jamaica(Ryan Malone).

I believe if there is not a mandated break by the NHL, the Pens should be here practicing.
