oh if you could have only been there... back on a hot summer night in the early 80's as the Pens were having a ticket thon to sell so many season tickets or the team would be gone... nobody gave it much hope but showing the movie Slap Shot was to give a last ditch effort for it to happen... nobody realizes how close the franchise came to being gone... none of this today would be without that night... the night the Hansons saved the Penguins... sad in some respect that because the Pens stayed the up and comming Spirit folded... the meat n potatoe steel worker hunky not accepting what the rest of the world enjoyed... a sacrifice of one for the other cause of pure ignorance of stiller worship... never again would Terlecki or Childs or Mackenzie score on the rippled green pitch of the civic arena... a dagger that hurts everytime an orange adidas is seen rolling around... rip MISL... rip Spirit... the soccer gods enacting revenge the blue shirts... mmwwwhahahaha. Spirtfanout /././.
