Your predictions for the Pens vs. Hurricanes game tonight?

Postby FuturePens on Fri Feb 10, 2006 2:38 pm

My predictions for the game is that the Penguins will score 4 Goals, but the PK will fail and the Canes will score 5, but in OT. 5-4 OT Final. What do you think?

The Pens will continue to display zero offense and few legitimate scoring chances. Most of their 18 shots on goal will come from 40 feet away.

They will give up 7 odd man rushes and maybe only have one of their own.

Everyone will blame lack of talent and inexperience.

Coaching will get the bye again.

The fact...MT and his whatever you want to call it style need to go.

My 2 cents of good old cash.

So Caron plays against the best team in the league... so Fleury can play the Caps? What's up w/ that? Therrien seems like he's mailing in the games that he KNOWS they have no chance to win.

agreed... but for different reasons...

the call up of christensen (sp) will make him feel wanted again... he def has something to prove here... he will score and add a few assists on crosbys line...

crosby comes out of his shell/slump and scores one and adds an assist... my third goal goes to malone...

we win 3 to 1 and caron actually stands on his head... he hasnt played that god awful lately... but maybe he looks like he stands on his head because the d actually plays out of their minds tonight....

p.s. plus with the winter olympics starting tonight... they will actually play well so i dont want to switch stations and my gf will get piiiiiiiissed!
going against the number 1 team will get these youngsters goin!

8) lets go pens!

7-2 canes I can see us jumping out to a lead early then getting in penalty trouble in the second and the canes never look back.

That script sounds familiar, and likely. Carolina is a little better than Ottawa, though, if you believe the standings.

So, I'll say the Pens only score 1. Final 6-1, Canes.

The Canes 23-4 record on home ice, doesn't look good for the pens...so I'm going with the canes 5-1.

Nope, Lange will fall in love with Staal tonight. Mark it down.

PensInAz wrote:Actually, I can see the Pens winning this one. Why? No friggin' clue. For some reason, I am not dreading watching tonight's game, although I know that I should be. Close game between an underwhelming effort by Carolina and an actual effort from the Pens. 3-2 Pens in OT. Fluke goal to win it.

I agree, I have no clue, but we play better against good teams, Pens will win in a crazy game 5-4 in OT.

not bad

Postby FuturePens on Sat Feb 11, 2006 2:58 am

Hey not bad of a prediction I had there, I truly was close to giving up another Goal there towards the end, but a win is a win, 4:3 or 5:4

Once again, I'm so glad we got the Carolina broadcast on CenterIce. Probably not even they were drooling over Staal as much as Lange was, and they weren't as critical of the Pens as I'm sure Eeyore must have been, even when they win.

And to think I used to hope I'd hear "It's a hockey night in Pittsburgh" at the start of every game. Sad, isn't it?

I think the opposing announcers are more sympathetic than critical

come on

Postby FuturePens on Sat Feb 11, 2006 6:26 pm

Come on guys, our announcers only say some bad things because they get frastuated with the team, like we do,both of them love the Pens and only mean the right thing. Why not let the passion out, I don't want them to say good things if bad things on ice are happening. Why lie, honesty is the answer. They are great !!!
