Why does Steigerwald get so GDamn excited every time a stat is shown about Bob Errey or they show a clip that Errey is in?? He's like a dog that goes nuts when you walk into a room, settles down, then you leave for 10 seconds and walk back in and the dog starts running in circles again.

These players are acting like they've been hit by grenades when someone brushes up against them. I'd even say that was still a penalty on Niskanen, but that Wild player acted foolishly there.

Why are the thoughts "Staal provides depth that most NHL teams can't match." and "Staal isn't a top line center." considered mutually exclusive?

Because depth players don't play on your first line, like ever. They add depth. You know, 2nd - 4th line depth. Isn't it pretty obvious?

I honestly believe that the silent 80% majority understand that both of the above statements are true. It's the 10% fringe on each side that believes that either he's a would-be all-star overshadowed by 87 & 71 or that he's only a fringe NHLer.

So let me get this straight -- last night, a Lose-a-peg player gets a shot to the face and they stop play immediately but Engelland gets hit in the face there and play continues, almost leading to a goal??
