I have absolutely no problem with that at all. I love listening to the veterans talk about their experiences.. My point is, I wish he didn't have to talk over a game. It is a wonderful idea, just could have been executed better. Still a great gesture by Root that I appreciate. Sorry if that came out as disrepectful

Edit: I'm ex-military, so trust me, I don't mind listening to my elders for 5 minutes, or 5 hours for that matter. It was definitely a great story, I just tuned out the game and listened.

Nothing wrong with having it, and the guy's story deserves to be heard. That said, it was extremely akward to place it in the middle of live action. It could have been better placed.

i also didnt mean to be disrespectable to the gentleman, just didnt seem like he should be cut off to do play by pay so it should be done at intermission

not disrespectful at all. I think these sorts of things are allowed on a day like today, even if the interview is done by someone who is somewhat difficult to understand.
