I agree, tangradi looked good tonight.

He looked great in the third period. Didn't look like he had the desire he had in the third period earlier in the game. I think Jeffrey is better than him once he gets his legs back under him, but I'd take both guys over Asham...who is slower than Tangradi.

17 games in...4 regulation losses....first loss by more than one goal.....No Crosby......not too shabby.

Here's to Sid taking Sullivan's spot on Tuesday.....I'm sure TK will come back Thursday after another Pen gets injured.

Even with a win, Carolina Hurricanes will still be garbage at the bottom of the league all season with a good goaltender.

Well, without Martin and Brent Johnson, they would've completed the comeback, with players who give a damn.

I don't care what anyone says, Johnson let in 3 or 4 weak goals and I don't even need to comment on Paul Martin, whom I think was more so a product of system in New Jersey.

3 of the 5 were weak....the 1st, 3rd and 4th

Eh. Not much of a reason for trying to pokecheck a grinder (with full control of the puck at that) on a breakaway. Strange decision that cost him.

I third this positive thought. I've been down on Tangradi before, but he had a couple really nice shifts down low in the 3rd. I'm still not convinced he has top-6 potential, but tonight provided some evidence that he can add something as a bottom-6 forward.

Picard is better than Bortuzzo/Despres? I'm kind of surprised he is still here.

They got Picard so he could be an injury/shuttle guy because they didn't want someone like Despres being yo-yoed back and forth this season.

After the great game pens played last night, a bummer that below average goaltending by Johnson cost them this one.

yeah, some mental lapses defensively, but Johnson needed to be there, especially after the comeback.

Johnson needs to pick his game up this year. Not impressive.

I don't blame Martin for pinching in...I blame him for the horrible play he made when he pinched in....he pushed the puck right to a hurricane and off they were running...but yes you would hope a forward would have been heading back to cover Martin's point.

Letang was to cover Martin's spot. Staal had shifted over and covered the right point, Letang was right next to him for some reason

Letang stayed on the right point, where he should've been. The mistake came when Staal also went over, double-teaming the puck carrier and leaving Larose all alone on the far boards.

You're right on this game, only because the Pens were down 3-0 and looked like a loss already.....I should have put the Pens Lost or had an amazing comeback in the third.

They aren't trading Martin, but he does need to play better...obviously. Perhaps they should try him with a different partner and promote Niskanen who has played pretty well.

i think we would all be in a better mood if they would have gone ahead and just got shutout....but only to have the comeback ruined by terrible defense and shoddy goaltending makes me angry

good comeback, was looking like they would maybe get a road point out of it at the very least. not putting it totally on BJ, but he's been in net for 4 of the 7 losses this season (only 5 game played). can't overload MAF, but he needs to play back to back every once in while methinks.

You're right that MAF needs to play back-to-backs once in a while, but you don't do it against a Carolina team near the bottom of the standings. If Johnson had even an average game, for him, the outcome would've been different.

The Tangradi-Vitale-Cooke line had some real nice shifts. If Tangradi keeps up that kind of play, it'll just be a matter of time before he's on an NHL roster.

Pens have played 3 games in 2 weeks- i see no reason MAF couldnt have played- not to mention they have 2 more days off and will have Sid back
