watching this game leads me to the following conclusion:
if the league wants to get rid of the trap, MAKE THE REFS ENFORCE HOLDING AND INTERFERENCE!

if a team holds on every play, call the hold on every play. kinda hard to slow the game to a crawl with only 4 skaters out there half the game

I see why the lightning play the 1 3 1. If my team had to play 41 plus times a year on ice that is this terrible I'd implement a plan to take that factor out of our play as much as possible. The trap is the answer.

OK after all the years of watching hockey I still don't understand this whole concept. (sarcasim here) Shoot the puck towards the net to get goals right?? But seriously what has become the obsession lately with how many shots the pens take. Great 40+ shots in a game. so BIG freaking deal if they miss,hit the post or can't finish the play. The Bolts have 10 shots yet they have the 2 goals, Pens 20 shots and no goals. I know I know people, me included are always yelling about the pens not shooting, and now they are 40+ times but it really does no good if thye still aren't putting in the net.
